Credit Unions are member-owned not-for-profit financial institutions. Since July 1955 when we were chartered with five members and $2,581 we’ve grown to about 8 thousand members and over $36 million in assets. United Advantage welcomes the opportunity to serve your financial needs. You can count on us to provide you with reliable answers to your questions, innovative options for your financial needs and most importantly, outstanding service.

Your membership is important to us. As a member, you have a vote in how your Credit Union operates, since it is owned and operated based solely on the needs of the membership. Each year the entire membership has an opportunity to vote and/or run for their volunteer Credit Union Board of Directors or volunteer to serve on the Supervisory Committee. One vote per member, regardless of the amount you have on deposit.

To be eligible for membership at UANWFCU you must work for one of our Preferred Partners or Sponsor Employer Groups, live, work, worship or attend school in North Portland, Oregon or be an immediate family member of a current UANWFCU member. Become a Volunteer

United Advantage NW FCU is seeking members interested in volunteering for the UA Board of Directors.  The board meets once a month and oversees the operation of the credit union.  By becoming a UA board member, not only are you helping the credit union, you also gain valuable experience in finance and management. Time spent on a CU Board is a great first step for those seeking public office, or for those who are just looking to boost their resumes. Meetings can be attended in person, or via online webinar. To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old, and be a member of the credit union. No experience is necessary, training on Board processes is provided upon becoming a board member. Each member account is insured to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the federal government. Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are separately insured to an additional $250,000.
